I took a tub of hardwood timber mate to the counter as i couldn't find natural, the staff member told me i should only use it if staining as the colour of the timber mate will show thru the paint colour. I argued that the hardwood timber mate is a light colour, but to no avail, they told me to use spack filler hmmmm.
WebAug 1, 2011 · Let it sit 24 hours. Then, working in about 4" x 4" sections apply more Tru-Oil and wet sand with it until you get a slurry. Work the slurry into the grain by using your fingers in small circular motions. Wipe it off the excess slurry perpendicular to the grain and repeat until the pores are filled.
