The boys loved scouring the beach for shells and sea glass, and they left with many treasures. The castle itself makes for a nice backdrop. WebJun 9, 2016 · Wonderful place to be. Greenan castle lays on the beach south of Ayr (Greenan beach) and you can walk there easliy from the car park. Usually many other people and dog walkers, so dogs can come too. You have beautiful views over the bay especially on a clear day and you can see the Island of Arran across the water.
